The Ring Nebula, M57, is a unique nebula located in the constellation of Lyra that gets its name from its distinct “Ring” shape. Located approximately 4000 light years away, what appears to be a small blurry ring in the telescope is actually about 500 times the size of our solar system and is the remnants of an exploded star that at one point was probably similar to our sun.
